Food Journal 4/06 – 4/12/15

Getting all caught up with posting food journals.  This past week I have been focusing on my fat intake.  Per Dr. Mercola, he recommends 50-70% of good fat intake daily….that can be a challenge, but not unattainable.  It starts to be a juggling act between Carbs, Proteins and Fats….and we can’t forget about Fiber…20-30 grams of fiber per Dr. Mercola, he thinks 32 grams is ideal.  The first step is to get your carbs under control; 72 or less, then move on to proteins, fats and fiber intake numbers.

Monday, 4/06/15

2c Green tea, and I’m going to get busted here….1/3 of a homemade donut!! Recipe passed down from generations….used unrendered lard, no preservatives, etc.  (if that makes it any better!)….lunch and snack…lemon water, 1/4 macadamia nuts, ham and kombucha….dinner…lemon water….diced sweet potatoe, baked cod, 4 T sauerkraut, snack…2 T sunflower seed butter, celery, mint chocolate shake (I had to to get my fat intake up!)….70 carbs.

Tuesday, 4/07/15

2 c Green Tea…Lunch…Lemon Water, 2 T sunflower seed butter, celery 1/4 c macadamia nuts, toasted Paleo Bread with raw butter and sunflower seed butter, kombucha…dinner…lemon water, diced sweet potatoe, ham, toasted Angelic baguette with raw butter, 4 T sauerkraut…snack…chocolate avocado pudding…52 carbs.

Wednesday, 4/08/15

2 c Green Tea….Lunch…2 strips of bacon, beef broth with raw butter…dinner…espresso rubbed flank steak, steamed asparagus with raw butter, toasted Angelic baguette with raw butter, sauerkraut…snacks…kombucha, 1/4 c macadamia nuts, 1 gin-gin hard candy, Kalyana-Double Chocolate Almond Flour Brownie….38 carbs.

Thursday, 4/09/15

2 c Green Tea…Lunch…Beef Bone Broth with raw butter, 1 braunschweiger pattie, 1/4 c macadamia nuts…dinner…lemon water, ham, steamed broccoli with butter, sauerkraut…snack…kombucha, 1/4 brazil nuts, 1 1/2 pieces of bacon, Kalyana-Double Chocolate Almond Flour Brownie….60 carbs.

Friday, 4/10/15

2 c Green Tea…Lunch…Lemon Water, 1/4 c macadamia nuts, 2 T sunflower seed butter, celery, Paleo Bread toasted with raw butter and sunflower seed butter…Dinner…Baked Cod, steamed asparagus with butter, lemon water, Kalyana Brownie…snack…Kombucha, 1/4c Tamari Pumpkin Seeds…47 carbs.

Saturday, 4/11/15

2 c Green Tea…Lunch/Snacks…Lemon Water, 1/4 c Tamari Pumpkin Seeds, Raw Kombucha, celery with 2 T sunflower seed butter 1/4 c macadamia nuts, beef bone broth with beef stew meat and raw butter, 1 beef snack stick…dinner….baked cod and steamed cauliflower with butter…snack…2 gin-gins, mint chocolate milkshake…57 carbs.

Sunday, 4/12/15

2 c Green Tea…Lunch…1/3 c macadamia nuts, 1 T sunflower seed butter with celery, Lemon Water, 2 strips of bacon, 2 eggs…dinner…steamed cauliflower and broccoli with butter, lemon water, espresso rubbed flank steak…snack…tamari pumpkin seeds, 2 gin-gins…42 carbs.
